Stay On Point
On Point is a small puzzle game I made in a few days. The aim of the game is to solve all the puzzles. To do so, all you need to do is manipulate geometric shapes to reflect a red laser beam from an entry gate to an exit gate within a given number of bounces.
Seems simple, right?
Well, not exactly. The puzzles increase in difficulty as you play through them. Currently there are only 10 levels to complete and to be honest, they're not all that hard to figure out especially once you get the hang of playing the game and manipulating the shapes.
About the bounces, each level has a maximum number of bounces your laser can make before it will stop. You need to get the laser from the entry to the exit within the maximum number of bounces to beat the level. Mirrors can help you do that...
Mirrors are a unique object in the game. They are the only physical entities that will not use up bounces when your laser hits them. They just reflect the laser. You can string multiple mirrors together to bounce your laser further without using up any of your bounces. The only thing with mirrors is that they cannot be moved, only rotated.
Here's a brief rundown of what all the objects in the game represent...
White shapes = Fully movable/rotatable objects
Red shapes = Immovable objects
Green shapes = The shape you've currently selected to control
Red gate = Entry gate for the laser
Green gate = Exit gate for the laser
Blue circles = Mirrors (can only be rotated)
I'm planning to add many more levels as the game develops. For now though, the original 10 will have to suffice. See how fast you can beat all 10 if you want an extra challenge. Each level shows a timer in the top left while you're playing.
